| So on a Sunday afternoon like any other Sundays, I went to the gas station to fill up my tank for tomorrow's drive to work. As I was waiting for the pump to finish, I figured maybe I should do a visual inspection of my car just because I haven't ever really done it. I circled my car, no scratches. I circled it once more looking closer and beneath, and what do you know; there is a cut in my rear right tire, about 1 inch long, 2 millimeters wide and 3 millimeters deep. I must have ran over something sharp some time ago without realizing it. My tires could pop anytime without me realizing it would. How sorry would it have been to be stuck in the middle of the busy streets of LA during rush hour, causing heavier traffic, dying in the hot sun, and having people pass by me staring me up and down with their angry eyes. Or it could be worse. I could've spun out of control on the freeway and who knows how much damage there could be done. It was something inside of me that told me to check my car. Whatever it was, thank goodness I did the right thing, visually inspect my car, not once but twice.
So yeah, I would highly suggest you do a visual inspection of your car each time you hit a gas station. It doesn't take long and you could save your self a lot of trouble in the long run.
